Looking for a reliable, welcoming place to stay active and connected this fall? The Lorain Community Senior Center hosts a wonderful lineup of recurring weekly activities exclusively for older adults — a great alternative to all-ages public events! Whether you love cards, crafts, or simply good company, there's something here for you.

• 🃏 Men's Pinochle Card Group — Every Tuesday at 9:00 AM
• 🃏 Card Clatch Canasta — Every Thursday, 10:00 AM – Noon (open to beginners!)
• ✂️ On-Site Craft Collectives — Dedicated weekly blocks for quilting, sewing, woodshop, and ceramics
💰 Membership: Access to daily programming is linked to an annual membership of just $20.00 per calendar year — an incredible value for a full season of activities!

👟 Healthy Strides — Walk. Learn. Connect.

Healthy Strides is a free, community-based walking and health education program designed to help participants take simple steps toward better health. Ideal for individuals managing high blood pressure, diabetes, or improving heart health. Open to all ages and fitness levels!
What to Expect:
• Short health education talk (caregiver-led)
• Light stretching
• Guided 1–3 mile walk at participant's pace
• Preventive screening information and referrals
• Time for participant and caregiver connection
Each session is led by Cleveland Clinic caregivers. Registration helps tailor sessions to your health needs — register today or ask your provider about joining Healthy Strides.
In partnership with United We Sweat Impact Initiative, Lorain County Metro Parks, and United Way of Greater Lorain County.
🥗 Healthy Cooking Essentials / Fundamentos de Cocina Saludable
Virtual Series | Tuesdays, 8:30 – 9:45 AM
Led by Cleveland Clinic culinary experts, providers, and caregivers
Presented in partnership with CentroVilla25, Morrison Healthcare & Community West Foundation
Healthy Cooking Essentials is a welcoming virtual cooking and nutrition program focused on making healthy eating enjoyable, sustainable, and realistic — without giving up flavor, culture, or affordability. Sessions will be offered in both English and Spanish.
