Who We Are
The Lorain County Office on Aging (LCOOA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering older adults to live with independence, dignity, and purpose. Serving the more than 76,000 adults age 60 and older who call Lorain County home — representing 25% of the county's total population — we are a trusted resource, a steadfast advocate, and a compassionate partner for seniors and their families.
We understand that aging comes with unique challenges. More than 11,000 seniors in Lorain County live at or near the federal poverty level, facing barriers that can make it difficult to access the care, resources, and support they deserve. LCOOA exists to change that — one person, one family, one community at a time.
Our Mission
To provide support, resources, and advocacy for older adults to age successfully in Lorain County.
